In this house two work-from-home artists are free to shape their own space using partitions that slide and rotate on gridded tracks in the floor and ceiling. The unpredictable nature of their work demands extreme flexibility of the building, which, burdened with an ill-defined spatial program, falls back on modernist basics of free plan and modular systems. Salvaged plexiglas bubble skylights constitute the roof, spreading daylight evenly throughout the house, and serving as the basic organizational module.
